Don’t Just Sit There!
It’s no secret that many of today’s health problems stem from a lack of activity in our lives. As a society, we are more sedentary than ever. With most capabilities literally at our fingertips, there’s less need and desire to move. Many of us have jobs that keep us in a seated position for most of the day, and the average U.S. adult spends 8 hours in front of a TV. The result is typically a host of health problems and issues.
Last month, the Washington Post ran an article on the many negative effects of prolonged sitting. The below infographic shows how the brain, back, organs, muscles, and limbs can all be affected simply by lack of movement. Download the infographic, print it out and hang it by your desk as a reminder to get up and move!
