We tend to perform better when others are watching. When we feel an obligation to someone else, or know that someone is expecting us to perform, it affects how and what we do. That’s how accountability works. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a physical person…it could be an accountability mechanism like a tracker, either online or hand-written.
