As much as I’d like to say that I never eat fast food and that I’m always strict with my intake, I have to be honest. At times I reward myself for what I consider a “good week” of eating a preponderance of fruits and vegetables, lean meats, adequate water intake and the such. The truth is we’re all human. It’s difficult for anyone to follow USDA guidelines, or any diet guidelines for that matter, to a tee. Your goal should be to make healthy decisions as often as you can – a majority of the time.
Make healthy choices the norm versus the exception. Honestly, you should be able to enjoy your favorite fast food or dessert. Just remember, moderation is key.
