We let stress get to us. It’s not the things that happen in our lives or the circumstances that we must overcome…Rather how we let those things affect us. There are so many things that can get us down and cause us stress, but what I want to highlight here is that it’s not actually the things that get to us, it’s all in our approach to handling them. To paraphrase something I recently read from the Daily Stoic, “Stressors are a fact of life. Being stressed, feeling stressed, acting out in response to stress…that’s a choice.” Plan your next steps and control your responses to stressors.
