Improving nutrition habits can be challenging simply because of the number of different options that we seem to be presented with. From specific diets that tell us to eat or to avoid certain foods, to fasting options, to detoxes, to portion control…it can all be very confusing. How are you supposed to measure whether you’re truly doing better if you don’t make weight loss the measurement of choice? As I said with respect to fitness, weight loss can be a byproduct, but being more fit is the goal. With nutrition, weight loss will likely be a product, but eating healthier should be the goal. So how is one to define success in your goal for better nutrition? I think the answer is in consistency. Whatever method you choose, if you can do that consistently, then you’re winning.
