How do you handle disappointment?
How do you deal with disappointments associated with the anticipation and subsequent cancellation of something you’ve been working toward or waiting for?
While disappointments come in varying levels of severity, they are a part of life. Much like our discussion on stress last week, we can’t control the stressors or disappointing circumstances in our lives, but we can control how we react to them. We often get wrapped up in the setbacks and disappointment we face–it’s natural to do so. We tend to focus on the negatives. The truth is you could have a dozen good things happen to you today, but the one setback will likely be what you’ll focus on.
So in this episode, we are talking about how these disappointments affect us mentally, socially, and spiritually, and how we can combat them as well!
