I just completed a Half Ironman.
The great thing about events like this, beyond the physical aspect of it, is that I always take away some great life lessons that can serve me beyond fitness events like a Half Ironman.
The major lesson to take away from a grueling fitness event like this is that small parts add up to a whole. It’s about training smart–training in small components– so that you cross that finish line, wherever it is. Whether it’s health and nutrition, fitness, work, relationships–these are principles that will serve you universally. I want to cover all the great little life lessons and share my biggest takeaways to help you on your own journey so that you can reach your goals!
I don’t just mean fitness goals either! A triathlon is cool. There is a huge sense of accomplishment and it’s cool to get a medal and cool swag, but it’s more about recognizing and wanting to be healthier. It’s about wanting to be a part of a community that values health and that values pushing yourself when times get hard.
I’d love for you to be surprised by your own ability. Consider challenging yourself with something you never thought you’d do. You’ll be surprised how small steps and consistent effort can pay off…
Enjoy and thanks for listening!
