Stressors in life don’t have to be all-consuming and they don’t have to control you. There are a number of things that you can do to counter, remove, and manage stress. Some things that work for me are being deliberate about my sleep, not committing myself to activities or events when I don’t have to, and managing my time so that my calendar does not control me. You need time away from obligations. You need time for family. Sometimes you just need time for yourself. Don’t underestimate that. Control what you can control to manage your stress.
